I like what you saw in these. You have a great eye for unusual things. I would have been too annoyed by the reflected ripples to see them as a subject by themselves.
Hey, if you turn your head a little to the left, the reflected ripples in the lower picture looks like an extreme closeup of a print photo of a girrafe's (sp?) head. (Or, if you had the software, you could rotate it 30 degrees to the right and crop it.)
BTW, I was wondering whether the logjam had special significance for "Anti-Valentine's Day!"
